Spring is the time of year we’re seeing a push of large tunas, yellowfin especially, migrating off the Palm Beaches. These “trophy” fish are being caught more frequently and the PB Tuna Tournament offers an exciting format to target them. Teams are eligible to declare and fish on 3 of the 6 allotted days.
Boats registered for “All Tunas” who catch a yellowfin, bluefin, bigeye or blackfin tuna (over 40 lbs.) are eligible for the guaranteed $10,000 cash prize! If no eligible tuna is caught, the prize money will roll over to next year’s payout!
Additional cash prizes and awards (for both Adult & Junior anglers) will be offered for teams fishing Saturday, May 10th, designated the Blackfin Blitz day of the tuna tournament. This fishing day is FREE to WPBFC members w/ an optional 2-tuna buy-in. The weigh station is open Noon – 2pm at Sailfish Marina during the MIAPBC Member Picnic, offering a family-friendly weigh station environment.
