b"'Goin' Raptor' Captures Fins & Fairways WinT he Palm Beach County Fishing Foundations (PBCFF) Fins & Fairways Team Tournament, a uniquely formatted fishing and golf event, was held last August and featured a solid field of 20 four-person teams.First launched in 2018, the event has become an eagerly anticipated summertime function for club members and sponsors. In 2024 the fleet posted solid catches of kingfish, blackfin tuna and sailfish re-leases.'Team Bulldog' lead by Capt. Dan Crowley even landed a 11.2 pound yellowfin tuna, while not especially large, it was a tournament first.Team 'Livin The Dream' placed third on the fishing day with 17 points with a catch 2024 Fins & Fairways 1st Place fishing teamthat included three double digit kings up and Overall Winners, team Goin' Raptor. to 20.2 pounds.'Team Tuppens', led by Steve Sprague, proved once again they are serious contenders with nice kings and two sailfish releases.Their 19 points earned them the second place fishing team award.Team 'Goin Raptor' came to the weigh station with a similar mix of fish, kings and sail releases.However, their big king tipped the scales at 37.8 pounds earning them an extra pointTaking 3rd Place in both golf and and top honors on the fishing day with 20 points.Their out- fishing, team Livin' the Dream.standing catch would foreshadow an equally good performance on the golf course the next day. Team 'Triple T' weighed in a 38.4 pound kingfish landed by Tommy Twyford, which earned the Ande Monofilament Big Fish Award.Following the weigh-in there is always fun camaraderie and good natured trash talking at Sailfish Marinas Sailfish waterfront tiki.All these teams, along with Team 'Outta Line', Team 'Champions Club' and 'Team Carib' were positioned nicely for the golfing portion of the event.The Fins & Fairways Team Triple T scoring format is designed to level the playing field for anglers and golfers alike.Each teams fishing score carries over to the golf course the next day. North Palm Beach Country Club was the site of the golfing day this year.Head Pro Allan Bowman and his team had the course in outstanding shape.Not surprisingly, Team 'Cham-pions Club' led by David Ladd made a strong run on the golf course posting an impressive 15 under par, which gave them a third place finish overall. Team' Marine Electronic Solutions' led by Elise Wever also pushed their way up the leaderboard with a score of 12 under par.Team 'Livin' The Dream' turned in a solid 11 under par earning them a second place finish overall.Team 'Goin Raptor', Bill, Paul & Will Sabayrac and Connor Barry, also posted an 11 under par giving them the Fins & Fairways Team Champions title with an overall score of 28 W estP almB eachF ishingc luB"
